The weekly newsletter of The Jerusalem Great Synagogue is made possible by a grant from Fundacion Dorset
Letter from the Chairman of the Board
Dear Friends,
Following
the Upcoming Events section of this newsletter, you will find a list of
recent Major Donors to The Jerusalem Great Synagogue. As I have noted
in the past, we do not receive any government funding from Israel or
from Jerusalem. We do not charge the many visitors, individuals and
groups that come to our facility throughout the week. We rely on
special events (Bar Mitzvahs, weddings) but mainly on contributions
from those who recognize the importance of The Jerusalem Great
Synagogue as a unique institution. We are very grateful to our donors,
whatever the amount of their contributions may be. We are particularly
grateful to those who have made major gifts towards our activities. We
hope that we may count on your support. For further information,
please contact Rabbi Finkelstein in our office or by e-mail to: jgs@zahav.net.il
As
I have noted in the newsletters of the past few weeks, we have already
begun the process of reserving seats for the Yamim Noraim. Those with
dedicated seats should please advise us by July 26th of their intention
to use those seats. From then until August 5th, we will accept
reservations from Supporting Members. We will then process all of the
reservation requests that have been mailed to us and accept
reservations from the public as of August 11th. If you would like to
e-mail us your reservation request, please either click on "reply" to
this email, or send us an e-mail to jgs@zahav.net.il
Please specify the first and last name of each person, male or female,
adult or child/student and whether the reservation is for Rosh Hashana,
Yom Kippur or both.
Our next Lone Soldiers Leil Shabbat
